This complex project began with extensive surveys and design meetings to ensure that the existing critical infrastructure was protected during the works. It was decided that a temporary UPS would be needed during the removal of the redundant UPS systems.
Aspect installed and commissioned a 1MW temporary UPS system, running extensive temporary cabling throughout the floor.
We then proceeded to remove and recycle the two redundant systems, COCs, hundreds of batteries, containment, cabling and hundreds of meters of busbar. This task was was particularly challenging due the complexity of the existing services and containment throughout the floor.
We then poured 2 new concrete plinths and built the two 1.2MW Trinergy systems. This included 2 large 8 ton battery builds , battery circuit breakers, containment and both AC and DC cabling.
The project involved working closely with the building owner, facilities management and consultants to ensure that minimum disruption during shutdowns and switching.
